Deborah Hudson

Deborah Hudson was born September 8, 1950 to the parents of late Bernice Samelton and late Arthur Brown Sr. She attend East St. Louis Senior High where she graduated from in 1969. She also attended State Community College of East St. Louis, il where she received her Nurse Assistant Degree along with business administration courses. Deborah Hudson was united in holy matrimony to Floyd Hudson Sr. Deborah Hudson accept Christ at an early age at Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership of late Garfield Hubbard Sr. She served as a Sunday School teacher and a choir member. She later attended Son Life Christian Church under the leadership of Dennis and Patt Amsden where she attended Son Life Christian Bible College of Theology and earned her Theology Degree. Deborah later attended Refuge Temple church under the leadership of Bishop Luther A. Rich where she served as a Evangelist, school teacher, children choir director, usher, cook, and also the interior decorator. She later attended Greater Glory Christian church where she assisted Pastor Curtis Malone. Deborah lastly went back to Faith Family Christian Church where she always stated” Welcome Home” thus is where she was welcomed back home where she attended in 2010 under the leadership of Rick and Marjorie Hufton. She was also members of several groups Christian of New Wave Ministry, Prison Ministry, Women of the Well she volunteer as summer camp supervisor, counseling and PTA. Deborah leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband; Floyd Hudson Sr. of E. St. Louis, IL.; three sons; Floyd Hudson Jr. of St. Louis, Mo. Jason Hudson and Joshua Hudson both of E. St. Louis, IL. Two daughters; Nichole Hudson-Bruce and Lakeisha Hudson both of E. St. Louis, IL.; four godchildren, Lamont McCoy, Yolanda Malone, Tamela Malone, and Rosiland Rodgers; three brothers; Anthony (Carmen) Brown of Cahokia, IL. Raymond Scott of Belleville, IL. and James Samelton Jr. of Centreville, IL. three sisters; Linda Loving of E. St. Louis, IL. Valencia Crocket of Centreville, IL and Cheryle Johnson of Alorton, IL. two special aunts; Inez Martin and Delores Jackson. A host of nieces, nephews, cousin’s other relatives and friends. Visitation: Saturday January 27,2018 10-11am Service 11am both @ Faith Family Church 704 N Green Mount Road Belleville, IL 62221 Burial: Mt Carmel Cemetery Belleville, IL
