Diane Jones

Diane (Haley) Jones was born October 4, 1956 in St. Louis MO and was raised with her 6 siblings in E. St. Louis, IL including Joyce (Haley)Agnew of Cahokia IL, John Haley (deceased), Martisia Williams (deceased), Annette Williams of Detroit MI, Antwaine Williams of St. Louis MO and Denarius Williams of Cahokia IL. She was educated in East Saint Louis IL School District 189. She confessed a belief in her Savior Jesus Christ and was baptized in her youth. Diane was a very creative person and took an interest in the arts at an early age. She had a knack for drawing, painting and sculpting and she also wrote poetry. While Diane was shy and reserved, once you got to know her, you got to know her wit and warmth and her welcoming smile. She loved to laugh and enjoyed music and movies. Her union to James Jones produced two beautiful children, Myren (1980) and Markiesha (1983) who survived her, along with her trusted four legged companion Josh. When Diane transitioned from this earth on July 8, 2017 she left a void, having departed oh too soon. Her family and friends will truly miss the light that shined so brightly from her warm spirited smile. It is with fond memories that her friends and loved ones will take solace that she was sincere, loving and caring and continues to watch over them from above.
