Doris M. Buckley

Doris M Buckley, nee Pind, 92, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, in Fairview Heights, IL, formerly of Cape Girardeau, MO.  She was born on Jan. 25,1928, to the late Don and Mamie Stephens Pind, being the only girl of 4 children.  She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas G. Buckley, three sons, Terry (Janie) Wright of Cape Girardeau, MO; Steve (Gayle) Wright of Ramona, CA; and Kieth (d. Maureen) Wright of Fairview Heights, IL; four step-children T.R. (Linda) Buckley of Jupiter, FL; Mitch (Laura) Buckley, of St. Louis, MO; Mark (Kathleen) Buckley, of Waterloo, IL, and Patricia (Jim) Koeller, of Fenton, MO,  twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; one brother Max (Carol) Pind; one sister-in-law, Aileen Pind all of Cape Girardeau, MO; and several nieces and nephews.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lindell Pind and Willis Pind both of Cape Girardeau, MO, and her first husband, Gene Wright of Jackson. Mo. Doris was a Cape Central High School graduate with the class of 1945.  At a very young age she was employed at Florsheim Shoe Co, then many years with Dr. Melvin Kasten and the Cape Surgical Clinic, was a former President of the Cape Girardeau Medical Secretaries; and was joint owner operator of Ramada Inn in Fairview Heights, IL; and several hotels in Florida.  Her most precious duties were to love and care for her husband Tom, her three sons and their families. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date.
