Evelyn Walker Harris

Mrs. Evelyn Walker-Harris was born May 19, 1957 to the Union of Mr. Alfonso and Irma Jean Walker who preceded her in death. She was the tenth child born to this union. She confessed her hope in God at a young age. Evelyn attended public school in Dist. 189, where she graduated from East Side High school. Evelyn song with the family group, The Spiritual Wonders. She was employed at the Blue Cross, Government Center and Goody Goody Restaurant. Evelyn later married Mr. Bennie Harris in 1982. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband; Mr. Bennie Harris, four sisters; Savannah Starks of E. St Louis, IL and Myrtle Haymore of Fairview Heights, IL. Connie Walker of E. St. Louis, IL and Sharon (Eugene) Davis of Memphis, TN. three brothers; John Walker of O’Fallon, IL.,Charles (Jaurel) Walker of E. St. Louis, IL. and Kenneth (Janice) Walker of E. St. Louis, IL. Three Sister-in-laws; Lucille Allen of Chicago, IL, Ethel Harris of St. Louis, Mo, Betty Gordon of St. Louis, Mo. One uncle Obie Anderson of Batavia, NY.
