Mother Glenzola Blakely, 72, of Madison, IL departed this life on May 12, 2021 in St. Louis, MO. Visitation service will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2021 at Resurrection Church of God in Christ, 2456 Donna Drive, Cahokia, IL.  Service will be  11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Resurrection Church of God in Christ, 2456 Donna Drive, Cahokia, IL.  She leaves to cherish memories, two daughters, Vickie (Alexander) Blakely-Gissendanner (Georgetown, Kentucky) and Paula (Curtis) Ware-Bradley (St. Louis, MO); six grandchildren, Laree’ Ware, Troy Fox Jr., Elysha Brooks, Vernicia Baker, Tarlesha Dillard and Donald Quinn III; five great grandchildren, J’Coryn Landry, C’Yarah Thomas, Ayden McCorkle, Christiana Evans and Brandon Walker Jr.; three sister, Emma (Murphy) Swan (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) Sarah McGill-Haynes (St. Louis, MO), and Belva Blakely (Madison, IL);  sister-in-law, Bernice Blakley (Cahokia, IL); a best friend since 3rd grade, Mrs. Mauristine (Sherrell) Byrd; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved and enjoyed very much.
