Janice Triplett

Ms. Janice Triplett who was affectionately known as “Triplett, Jenice or Granny Girl,” was born December 12, 1955 in E. St. Louis, Il. to the union of James Edward Sr. and Minnie Mae Triplett. She was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers; James Edward Triplett Jr. and Richard Triplett. Janice received her formal educated in the East St. Louis School District. She graduated from Kaskaskia College with an Associate Degree and later furthered her education at Ashford University receiving her Bachelor Degree. She was employed by SIUE as a head start teacher for 24yrs. She loved her job and Co-workers. She was passionate about Nurturing children and giving of herself to others. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She always had her home open to those who needed a friend or an act of kindness. She loved bringing people together to fellowship and always included the goodness of the lord into every situation. Janice loved the Lord. She accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was dedicated to serving the Lord. She served under the Leadership of the Late Bishop Clarke and now the residing Pastor Freddie O’Dell of Full Gospel Miracle Temple. She understood that God loved her unconditionally; therefore, she was committed to getting rooted and grounded in the Lord. She learned to trust him in every area in her life, even her illness. She made her call and election sure with God. Janice fought a good fight of faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have Kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness. Janice uttermost desire was to bring her family out of Lodebar. She leaves to cherish her memories Six sons, Lawrence Evans, Javonie Triplett, Michael Triplett, Orlando Triplett, Zachery Triplett and Tony Gilmore. Two daughters, Shonda (Art) Pollard and Tammy Triplett. Five brothers, Archie (Beth) Triplett, Bobbie Joe Triplett, Ted Triplett, Edward Triplett and Johnnie Triplett. Five Sisters, Mary Brown, Lillie Rattler, Willie (Jack) Clark, O’nia Triplett and Ollie Joe Triplett. Ten Grandchildren, one Goddaughter; Barsheka Le’Flore a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
