Jimmie Jeffries

Mr. Jimmie Jeffries a resident of Grand Prairie, TX departed this life on July 7, 2016. Mr. Jimmie Jeffries was born April 1, 1943 in Lamar, MS to the union of Mr, Dave and Mrs, Clara Jeffries (Woodson). He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Mark Taylor; four brothers: Dave, Jr., Willie A., Levada, and Berry Jeffries; one sister: Ilean Thompson. Mr. Jeffries accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. R. B. Lyles was the Pastor. He was educated in East St. Louis School District #189. He started a career with St. Louis Serum Company. He moved to Texas when St. Louis Serum moved to Texas. He retired in 2008 from Serum Lite Technologies. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory: His loving son, Anthony (Angela) Cummings; Godson, Markel Williams of Arlington, TX; daughter: Nikkole Gregory; five grandchildren, one sister, Esther (Simeon) Cummings; one brother, Willie B. (Pamela) Jeffries; a special niece, Anna Lindsay; a special nephew, Ronnie Cummings; a special friend, Claretha Brown of Louisville, TX.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
