Keyshawn Spraggins

The sun rose in the life of Keyshawn ZeAndrae Spraggins on Monday, June 9, 1997 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was born to parents, Tammy Spraggins and Antoine Wallace. Keyshawn was the third of five siblings. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Pearlie Mae and Frank James Spraggins, Sr. Keyshawn started his elementary school education at Benjamin E. Maze School in St. Paul Minnesota. He moved to East St. Louis to live with his loving and nurturing aunt, Sylvia Spraggins and enrolled in Dunbar Elementary and later went on to graduate from Lincoln Middle School. Keyshawn graduated from Lincoln’s Challenge Academy on June 14, 2014. This was a proud day for him and his family. Aunt Sylvia taught, encouraged, and trained Keyshawn in the way of the Lord. She always paraphrased the scripture from Joshua 24:15, “As for me in my house we will serve the Lord.” As a result of this, Keyshawn professed a hope in Christ at an early age. Jesus became the love of his life. He was baptized and joined the Church of The Living God where Bishop Rex Waddell presides. Keyshawn became a father at an early age. He loved and cared for his son, King Carlen Spraggins. He was very charismatic, loving, and outgoing. When Keyshawn entered a room, the room would light up. The angel of the Lord released Keyshawn from this earthly life, and he transitioned into the glorious arms of our Heavenly Father. He leaves to cherish his memory: One son, King Carlen Spraggins; His parents, Tammy Tarell Spraggins of St. Paul, Minnesota and Antoine Lamont Wallace of Bainerd, Minnesota; Surrogate Mother, Sylvia Lynette Spraggins, of East St. Louis, Illinois; three sisters: Latamara Spraggins, Shanequa Spraggins, and MaKayla Spraggins of St. Paul, Minnesota; one brother, McKail Spraggins of St. Paul, Minnesota; Grandmothers; Carol Jean (Rick) Moore of St. Paul, Minnesota; Annetta Wallace, of Denver, Colorado, and grandfather, William Fore; a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends who truly loved him.
