Kimberly Gaston

Kimberly Denise Gaston’s spirit was given to us on January 18, 1966 via her parents, Albert Lee Moore, Sr. and Texan Gaston. Her spirit resonated with laughter and unadulterated happiness. Kimberly received her education in the East St. Louis School system, graduating from East St. Louis Senior High School in 1985. She furthered her education in computer technology following her graduation. Kimberly was united in Holy Matrimony to Johnnie D. Byrd and blessed with three children to that union. In her professional life, Kim was previously employed as a Club Supervisor at the Casino Queen, until her health failed. More than anything, Kimberly was steeped in the teaching of Jesus from a child, accepting Christ at an early age at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. Obie Rush. She served in the choir and on the usher board. Kimberly LOVED texting. She was proficient at moving those fingers sending her loved ones messages throughout the day and night. She was known to cuddle up with a good romance novel. On January 4, 2015 Kimberly sailed to her heavenly home and joined her father and sister Carla Lee Johnson. Her blanket of joy and laughter will comfort us for a lifetime. Kimberly leaves a memory of her joy to her life partner, Daryn Foster, Sr. of Fairview Heights, IL.; her dedicated daughters, Eboni L. gaston and Lakeita J.M.Gaston of Belleville, Illinois; her loving sons, Jevon (Kemietra) Gaston of Lebanon, IL.; and Daryn foster Jr. of Fairview Heights, IL.; her five precious grandchildren, Praise, Peyton, Airyal, Teighlor, and parker; her loving and loyal mother, Texanna Gaston of East st. Louis, IL.; her dependable siblings, five brothers, Paul (Judith) Gaston of St. Paul,MN., Michael Gaston of St. Louis, MO.; Eric (Dana) Gaston of Fairview Heights, IL., Gary Gaston of St. Louis, MO., and Albert (Doris) Moore, Jr of Belleville, IL.; two sisters, Carol Braggs of Greenville, IL and Francine (Kourtney) Teat of Belleville, IL.; special God parents, Orlando and Barbara Jones of Edwardsville, IL. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
