Linda Gilliland

Linda Gilliland(Walton) 78, of Collinsville, Illinois peacefully passed away at home on June 10, 2025 at 12:34 pm.

Born July 20, 1947, in Sikeston, Missouri, daughter of Vinis (Son) & Elsie Walton, she was a mother, and wife enjoyed her friends, family, sewing, reading, and camping. She is a member of Fairview Heights Church of Christ. 

On November 6, 1965, she married her highschool sweetheart and friend since kindergarten, James Gilliland.

Other survivors include: Teresa (Rob) Daniels of Highland, Illinois, Sherri (Kevin) Medlin, Troy (Amy) Gilliland both of Collinsville, 8 grandchildren Jordan Amos, Hayden (Whitney) Amos, Kerrigan (Caleb) Gebke, Makenna Medlin, Madison (Kayce) Brumfield, Bryce Brumfield, Jessy Hollen, and Maleah Gilliland and 9 great grandchildren Hunter, Rylan, Addie Mae, Easton, Eliana, Jeremy, Jocelynn, Dutton and Bray. As well as two sister-in-laws, a brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Wanda (Billy Joe) McDonald, brother Marvin Walton. 

Memorial service is being held at Fairview Heights Christ of Christ (9955 Bunkum Rd, Fairview Heights, IL 62208 on Monday, June 16 starting at 5pm with service beginning at 6pm. With Livestream available via Facebook or YouTube from church website:https://www.fairviewheightschurch.org/
