Linda Mercer

Linda Mercer, of Caseyville passed away peacefully at home on January 3, 2023, at the age of 70. She was preceded in death by her father, Anton Duda and her brother Scott Duda both of House Springs, Missouri. 

Linda leaves behind her partner of 35 years Kerry Pettus, her mother Jean Duda, sisters Sherry Duda (Kerry Rockwell) Sue Duda (Tony Lang), and one brother Anton (Laurie) Duda. 

Linda was very close to her nieces and nephews Laurie (Chad) Philipp, Jimmy (Bobbie) Lang, Marissa (Dave) Pozzo, Samantha Duda, Tracy Rockwell, Scott Duda, Sean Duda, and Simon Duda and many great-nieces and nephews. Kerry's daughters Angie Lee (John) Ibaviosa and Lisa (Marty) Umfleet and their many children and grandchildren.

Linda loved living life to the fullest and would never miss a trip to the casino, the mall, or to lunch! All through her life she had many animals: her beloved horses (Baron and Bayshore), many cats, but Bandit and Miss Kitty were her longest living cats, and so many dogs including Junior who just left her weeks ago and Sugar who is still keeping Kerry company. 

A celebration of life will be scheduled.
