Lola Mae Hall Berry, 72 years old, was born in Madison, Illinois on September 4, 1944. In the year 1946, moved by GOD, her parents relocated the family to Lebanon, Illinois where she attended their public schools and later went on to successfully graduate from McKendree University in 1992, proudly receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Lola was a lady that had to keep moving and had no problem working. She held two to three jobs at a time for several years. She was a woman of virtues who had pastored her own church and loved ministering the word of GOD. She was a substitute teacher at schools throughout St. Clair County. She worked as a CNA in several local nursing homes. Some of the things that she enjoyed doing and things that brought her joy were: being a mother and grandmother, keeping close contact with ALL her extended family and spending time together; adding to her library of books, reading & writing books; she loved taking care of the disabled, sewing and creating her own outfits. She enjoyed cooking, arts & crafts, and watching judge shows. Lola Mae Hall Berry departed this life on Monday, October 10, 2016 at her current residence in Dayton Ohio. She moved to Dayton Ohio in August of 2015 and there she attended “The Upper Room House of Mercy Church” pastored by her sister Betty J. Hall Thomas. Lola was proceeded in death by her parents: Pearl and Myrtle Hall, son: Lewis Jones Jr., brothers: William Hall, Vernon Hall, Bobby Simms, Ronald Lewis Hall and Robert Hall. sisters: Pearlie Hall and Deloris Hall Nunn. Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her surviving family, four children: LaDonna (Raymont) Camp of Dayton, OH, Justin (Tamiaka)Tarver of Dayton, OH, Joseph Berry Jr. of Lebanon, IL and LaToya Berry, Esq of Dayton, OH. Husband: Joseph Lamar Berry Sr. of Dale City, VA, Three sisters: Maxine (Lafarrel) Hall Price of Lebanon, IL, Betty Hall Thomas of Dayton, OH and Paulette Hall Aveau of Oakland, CA, one brother: Earl (Linda) Hall of Lebanon, IL. Nine grandchildren: Christian Anderson, Isaac Jones, Jayla Tarver, Noah Jones, Justin Tarver Jr., Tesst Jewel Jones, Nathan Thorton, Ashley Thorton and Parika Thorton. Daughter-in-law: Toinette Jones of Lebanon, IL, two sister-in-laws: Shirley Hall of Belleville, IL and Mary Hall of Lebanon, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Lola, a wife, our mother, sister, daughter, niece, aunt, cousin and friend, we love you and you will truly be missed.
