Lonetta Rushing

Mrs. Lonetta Evette Rushing was born in East St. Louis, IL. March 6, 1968 to the union of the late Bobby and Anna Lindsay. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jerome Crockett and a special nephew Derez Griffin. Lonetta was joined in Holy Matrimony to Preston Rushing on June 19, 1993. She accepted Christ at an early age where she was baptized by the late Reverend R. B. Lyles. Lonetta attended elementary and high school throughout the district 189 in East St. Louis, Illinois. She was an employee of the FRB Federal Reserve Bank for at least 12 years where she served as Senior Support Service Clerk. Lonetta was big on family values and work in which she showed throughout her life. She loved her family dearly in which she brought them love, joy and laughter. She loved to cook and have family and friends over for gatherings. She and her husband raised two beautiful respectful kids (Ivan and Brittany) and also she showed value in her work by showing up 2 hours early every day for 12 years. (SMILES, some of us can barely be on time let alone be 2 hours early.) Lonetta leaves to cherish her memories her husband; Preston Rushing, one son; Ivan Robinson Jr. and one daughter; Brittany Rushing and one stepdaughter Brandy Rushing, two brothers; Charles Lee White and Shontez Jackson, three sisters; Chrisshawn Smith, Romona Allen, and Marjorie Lindsay. Two brother-in-laws; Leon (Louvonzelle) Madkins and James (Mary) Madkins, six sister-in-laws; Maggie (Ulec) Davis, Eula(Arhur)Rucker, Dorothy(Richard)Dodd, Grace Collins, Geneva Dotson and De’Havilland(Ivory)Jarmon and Carolyn Madkins. Half-sister; Felechia Bullard. Special God daughter; Sotofia Cummings. Four very lovely grandchildren; Kymani Robinson, Ivan Robinson Jr. Demarcus Belts and Londyn Rushing. Great aunt Esther Cummings and a special childhood friend; Tamiko Riley. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
