Mrs. Marian Louise (Walker) Davis of Fairview Heights, IL departed this life on January 13, 2026, in Maryville, IL.

Visitation Service will be held from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at St Paul Baptist Church, 1500 Bond Ave East St. Louis, IL 62205. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00a.m.

Lou is survived by her children, each cherished and deeply loved: Bobby “Skip” (Shana) Brown of O’Fallon, IL, Nina Green of Edwardsville, IL, Frederick Brown of O’Fallon, IL, Linda Carter of Burlington, NC, and Cedric Brown of Belleville, IL, and a special adopted daughter Crystal Washington of Fairview Heights, IL. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christopher (LaKesha) Brown Carter of Meridianville, AL, Amy Brown of Cape Girardeau, MO, Michael Green of Edwardsville, IL, Tamara Green of Edwardsville, IL, Bryan Carter of New York, NY, Demetria (Timothy) Watson of Sanford, NC, and Ariana Brown of O’Fallon, IL. She is also survived by her two great-grandchildren, Chirstopher Brown Carter, Jr. and Nicholas Brown Carter. Also to mourn her memory are her cousins Texana ‘Sue’ Gaston, Mary Sims, Elaine Conrad, Judith Higgins Armstrong and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alvin Davis; her children Anita Higgins, Tamara Brown, and Kevin Brown; her grandson Joshua Brown; her great-granddaughter Hannah Olivia Brown; her mother, Clemmie Higgins Claiborne; sisters Patricia Cross and Evelyn Walker; brothers Harold Walker, Julius Walker, Ronald Walker, and Donald Walker; as well as her sons-in-law Johnnie Green and Ronald Carter, and her daughter-in-law Teresa Brown.
