Thomas Harris Jr

Mr. Thomas Harris Jr. was born June 8, 1947 to Thomas Harris Sr. and Lucille Wicks-Harris in Columbus, Mississippi. God called our dear loved one to his eternal home on Tuesday, April 5, 2016. He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers and sisters. Thomas attended elementary school in Columbus, MS and later moved to E. St. Louis, IL. Where he completed his education in School District 189. He enlisted into the Army in 1968. He was later employed by Western Textile Company. Thomas met and married the love of his life, Ethel Wilson and to this union five children were born. Mr. Thomas Harris Jr. leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Ethel Harris of E. St. Louis, IL.; four son’s, Thomas(Deborah)Harris of E. St. Louis, IL. Dr. Dreyfus Harris of Belleville, IL. Kevin(Angelique)Harris of Granite City, IL. and Keith Harris of Creve Coeur, Mo. One daughter, Shondana(McKinley)Whitehead of Washington Park, IL. Twenty one grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Two special Godsons, Albert and Thomas Wells. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation services for family and friends will be held Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Teat Chapel, 10419 Lincoln Trail, Fairview Heights, IL. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11:00 from the Emmanuel Temple Church of God in Christ, 1701 Gaty Ave. East Saint. Louis, Illinois. Interment will follow funeral services at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
