Ms. Verlene Pointer, 69, of Madison, IL departed this life on August 17, 2025, in St. Louis, MO.

Visitation Service will be from 9:00am-11:00am at New Shining Light Nondenominational Church, 740 Broadway, Venice, IL 62090. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am.

She leaves to cherish her memories her Son Robin (Marquisha) Pointer of Edwardsville, IL; her Daughters Chekita Pointer of Granite City, and Ruth Herrod of Edwardsville, IL; her Sisters Nadine Maple of Madison, IL, Margaret (James) Pointer- Gibson of St. Louis, MO, and Wanda Sanders of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by ten Grandchildren, five Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
